Since the first songbook embodied Kate's works only, we made it a point to "revisit" some of her favorite songs that she recorded that were written by others. These include Telluride and the concert favorite The Ballad Of Weaverville.

Kate Wolf Albums
Kate’s family reissued the six albums that Kate released as well as some posthumous albums. We’re working to get more in print.
Kate Wolf’s debut album “Back Roads” was first released on Owl Records in 1976. This faithful 2017 reissue by Kate’s family brings the album back to Owl Records and includes an expanded booklet with bonus photos from the original recording session.
From the original 1976 album liner notes:
This is an album made by people who live and work in Sonoma County, California. Kate Wolf is a family woman, songwriter, bar singer, country music DJ and folk festival programmer who performs regularly with her band, “The Wildwood Flower”. For five days in July they got together with friends in a living room on the north coast where they recorded these songs. Recording was done by Dan Dugan on an old Langevin board, mixed live to a Re-Vox A77. Except for a few bass tracks there was no overdubbing. Sessions were held in front of an open fire with friends coming and going and time out to walk on the beach and eat Robin’s good, home cooking. The Wildwood Flower, Don, Paul & Will, was expanded to include two other musicians. “Pete” Wiseman, a journeyman mechanic and member of the Santa Rosa Symphony, took time out in an evening after his business closed to record with the group. David West, songwriter and member of the Cache Valley Drifters, drove up from Santa Barbara for a morning and left again that afternoon. On the last day, Phil took photographs and Michael began work on the new label. Back Roads . . . . . . the first release by Owl Records. We hope you enjoy it.
Kate Wolf’s affinity for the California coast is reflected in this collection of twenty songs from Mendocino area concerts, including eight previously unreleased (three by Kate).
Tribute Albums
Other artists perform Kate’s songs.
On January 27, 2017, Kate Wolf’s family presented a concert in memory of the late California folk singer/songwriter on her 75th birthday. Kate often performed at the Freight & Salvage when it was a small coffee house that held under 100 people. Artist warmed up in the stock room, and Kate (and her son, Max) sold records from the stage during intermission.
The 2½-hour double album features Nina Gerber, Chris Webster, The Cache Valley Drifters, Don Coffin, Hugh Shacklett, Sherry Austin, Poor Man’s Whiskey, and emcees Wavy Gravy and Bill Amatneek.

A Tribute Album Produced by Kate's long-time accompanist, Nina Gerber, for Red House Records.,
Before she died of leukemia in 1986 at the young age of 44, singer and songwriter Kate Wolf had criss-crossed North America for fifteen years performing some of the most remarkable songs of the era. With roots in the golden hills, valleys and seashores of Northern California, her songs are still vibrant and healing...simple yet profound. On this new recording, fourteen artists and admirers pay tribute to Kate and her music. Emmylou Harris' rendition of Kate's Love Still Remains received a 1999 Grammy Nomination for Female Country Vocal Performance.
